Leming was thrust into the limelight having been knocked out of the finals of American Idol after an onstage tantrum. He may have lost the contest but was the winner in the hearts of many and thus snapped up by Warner Bros Music. He was also nominated as the most interesting person of the great taste maker radio disc jockey Michael Halloran who compared him to Jeff Buckley and clearly believes he could just be, better than Buckley?

There is something unequivocally rock 'n roll about Leming’s white knuckle career path.

Like a number of participants in MIP LA, Leming's relationship with Los Angeles is love and hate, a mix of a desire to be the star and the reality of a highly competitive environment limiting this ascension.
